Guess what’s happening this weekend!? MY BACHELORETTE PARTY!! My bridesmaids will fly in from all over the country to Austin for my final fiesta.
There’s 8 of us in all—five bridesmaids, plus two maids of honor. Y’ALL, I’ve been doing so much wedding planning, the last thing I wanted to do was plan a bachelorette party…I’m pretty much planned out (not to mention the car drama, Lola’s sudden appearance in my life…ya get the point).
In fact, I literally told my MOHs that I don’t care what we do as long as I don’t have to be the one in charge. LOL. So, meh. Honestly…no more questions or decisions, please! Really I’m just looking forward to spending time with my besties, hanging out, and catching up. All my girls in one city under one roof. That’s all I want!
The one thing I WILL be contributing are these mega-cute decorations from Stag and Hen, like nametags for us to wear, cups and tumblers, banners, games, paper goods…you can envision it, right? It’s my Final Fiesta—my fling before the ring.
Fun Bachelorette Party Amazon Finds
So we chose Austin—one of my all-time fave spots. My girls are flying in from all over, even the other side of the world (shout out Tanzania!), and this will be a rare time for us all to be in the same place at the same time. Rule #2 I informed my MOH: not to make this party any sort of financial burden on the girls. We’re all in that stillinschool/startingcareers/gettingmarried/phase of life, so I made a point that I didn’t want my bachelorette bash to cost an arm and a leg.
Thankfully my MOHs are cool chicks and value my input. So I don’t know exactly what we’re going to do, but some general ideas are floating around.
First night: Chillaxxxxxx. I’m hoping to spend the evening catching up with my chicas while we stay in, cook a meal, then eat our faces off. Nom, nom, nom.
Second night: It’s partay time! I’m envisioning margaritas and dancing. And fancy-shmancy outfits. A little sequin here and there. 🙂 And did I say margaritas? The night’s motto: What happens at the bach party, stays at the bach party. Sometimes life is so serious, and I just wanna let loose and have FUN.
I couldn’t be more excited for this weekend of fun and friends. But if going out and drinks aren’t your thing, there’s so many other fun things to do as a group. Spa day? Slumber party? Game night? All sounds like a BLAST to me!
And who can forget about that little thing called lingerie? Yes, I’m fully aware that my girls might take it upon themselves to shower me with sexy unmentionables…but that’s half the fun. What better to laugh about than a barely-there nightie? Keep calm, people, it’s just a bachelorette party. Nothing to see here!
Guys, my friends are da BOMB, and I know this weekend is going to be one to remember—filled with a lot of laughing…and maybe a few shenanigans. My cheeks hurt already from smiling.
