Hi y’all! I’m so excited to share my living room decorating ideas with y’all! I owe so much credit to my friend Kimber from KW Fashion Consulting! Before this we conquered organizing my closet and creating my dream bedroom. The things you don’t even realize your missing until you don’t have them. Kimber taught me so much about the important things to make any space feel complete. The things you don’t even realize your missing until you don’t have them. This being my first home, I never realized the importance of a rug or curtains until I saw the difference they made.
Depth In a Room Is A Visual Necessity. Adding curtains can give a room depth, I chose to do light, linen curtains since my living room is a pretty dark space. The next phase will be hanging some fun, yet sophisticated artwork to fill the extra space next to my bookcases. Have y’all checked out Minted for fine art recently!? I got my wedding invitations from this site, but they also offer some really cool art pieces and you can choose from different sizes and frame options!
Play with Textures and Accent Colors. I knew I wanted to incorporate warm colors like cream, blush, and leather. These colors complemented each other and really made a cozy tone for the entire room. The gold bookcases and accents on the coffee table completed the leather touches I had with the chair and magazine rack.
Anyway, I have learned so much trying to decorate this space and still have a few more things to do. Check out the first phase of how I have furnished this space!
