Have y’all ever wanted to start your own boutique?? I have never been soooo inspired to start my own after visiting @atlantaapparel and falling in love with the new trends coming next season! Beyond the major brands you see on shelves, there are so many hustling and talented sassy mamas building their dreams out here!! I had the chance to meet many of you sassy business ladies hustling to reach their goals and to be honest, I’ve never felt more honored to connect with such inspiring ladies. I was truly so encouraged and fueled by you guys.
If you aren’t familiar with the Atlanta Apparel Market, let me fill you in! There are wholesale markets, like ATLM, across the nation that house showrooms of all of your favorite designers. I found all of my favorites from Quay Australia sunglasses to Black Halo! This is where your favorite retailers/boutiques go to find the latest brands and trends to stock their stores with. MINDBLOWN.
To shop at the market, you have to be a wholesale buyer (so if you’re shopping for your boutique, you’re good, but you have to present the right info to get inside. More deets below!)

How To Start Your Online Boutique
GET YO GAME PLAN.
So you’ve decided to start a boutique, WOOHOO. I am so excited for you for pursuing your passion, not a lot of people get this far. I wanna help you keep going!! Because the market is not open to the general public, you will have to make some pretty big commitments to truly start down this path! I did it several years ago when I registered for “Dani Austin LLC,” it’s really not that bad so don’t let the legality scare you away!
LET’S MAKE IT OFFICIAL. REGISTER YOUR BUSINESS.
You will need a copy of your state sales & use tax permit with appropriate SIC or NAICS codes to share with the Market so they can verify you as a wholesale buyer to shop the showrooms.
REGISTER FOR MARKET.
Once you have all your business info set up, you can register as a buyer at the Market. More info here to register to enter as a buyer!

OVERSIZED SWEATERS.
MIDI SKIRTS. Style your oversized sweater with a midi skirt for a layered, chic look by tying together with a waist belt and some sneaks or booties!
It is so incredible to watch ideas unfold into reality because of hard work and persistence. If you have a dream don’t wait until Monday to start working on it!!
