If I’m out of the ‘work from home’ office or it’s a weekend, chances are I’m wearing a hat. Whether it’s my beat up Texas Longhorn hat, fedora I bought in Italy, or black felt Stetson – I know some wonder whether that hat is permanently attached to my head. Oh well. I can’t go a week without my hat.

The Victory Cup Polo Match is returning to Austin, Texas on May 7th to throw “The Best Derby Party In Texas.” This will be my first time experiencing a polo match and words cannot express my excitement. I am thrilled to dress up, enjoy polo matches, and watch the Derby on a huge LED screen on the polo field! It will be a fun-filled day of local-area drinks, bites, entertainment and a live polo match followed by coverage of the Kentucky Derby race!

What to Wear
You can never be too dressed up for polo.
If you’ve been searching for the perfect occasion to wear your favorite hat or passed by the Hatbox in Austin a couple of times hoping for a chance to indulge in a finer hat, this is your chance! I have partnered with Hatbox, “a modern havberdashery,” to show you how I plan on wearing my hat to Victory Cup’s match. Ladies can wear elegant wide brimmed hats embellished with feathers and organza silk, similar to this one, to provide sun protection and make a fashion statement.

The one pictured in these photos is sold out for the third time (for good reason, it’s ADORABLE!) but this playsuit is the same design just in a different print. I suggest going up one size, I got a small (size 4) and it seemed to fit pretty snug.
