Hung out with these two lovely ‘Austinite’ ladies this past weekend. For those of you that don’t know Ashley (DTK Austin Styling) or Olivia (Livvyland Blog), these two gorgeous gals are super respected fashion bloggers in the ATX. I love catching up with them and asking for advice because let’s face it, this whole fashion blogging is not only a tad unconventional, but also challenging at times. I’ve always had such a passion for style so blogging is the BIGGEST blessing but not many see the hours of editing, digital marketing, scheduling, time management, communication efforts, and strategy that go into one blog post. That being said, it’s nice to connect with other people that are just as passionate about what they love to do.
We decided to “rosé all day” at Henri’s on South Lamar in Austin. This modern cheese and wine shop had the most darling vibe and the gourmet cheeses and fine wines, did not disappoint. We shared the cheese board and a glass of rosé.
“Austinite” style is nearly impossible to define because Austin has such a variety of styles and personalities, but as we spring into March, I decided to get a little nautical with this striped round neck top ($10.27!) and my favorite matte red lipstick. This Kat Von D lipstick lasts all day and doesn’t leave your lips feeling, or looking dry like a lot of other matte lipsticks do. I wore this top with my favorite pair of stretchy blue jean skinnies ($52!) and black heeled booties.
