At Lacquer, there are no oversize, vibrating pedicure chairs, ultra-violet drying machines, or the strong scent of acrylics and acetone. Instead, the white-filled space on Guadalupe in downtown Austin features awe-worthy sofas, Chanel books, and modern light fixtures, complete with chic wall prints. Lacquer offers the most  luxurious experience getting your nails done that far exceeds my expectations in regards to service, products, artistry, amenities, and vibes. Your nails will be meticulously shaped and perfectly painted. Any person worth a proper manicure will instantly see the difference. Somehow, Lacquer does not smell of chemicals and nail polish. It’s lovely and clean and feels like you’re there to treat yourself, not like you’re at a mani-pedi factory line.

My first experience I decided to try a little nail art in shellac gel with Elaine, and was absolutely blown away. I had to expectations going in and told Elaine to do whatever “nail art” she wanted. I honestly thought I would look down and see the typical crystal made flower nail art. Boy, was a I wrong. Since then, I have been back to Lacquer multiple times always with nail art ideas in mind because this girl can do it all! From marble nails, to pineapple and palm tree prints, and amazing geometric shapes – I was so impressed with Elaine’s nail art – I can’t imagine ever going somewhere else to get my nails done!

The best part? People smile at you here. And it makes you want to smile back, and it leaves a smile on your face when you leave, because everything’s been lovely. The manicurists are super friendly, I actually have a couple of new friends! hehe

Example of my most recent nail art by Elaine are down below!
