The blogger world is pretty new to me. I started consistently blogging (well, still workin’ on the consistency part) and not just making YouTube videos, in February of this year, 2017. This year has been really exciting for me because I feel like I finally found my space to share what I love. I’ve fallen in love with what I do for a living and the best part about it is meeting other amazing girl bosses that share the same drive and passions.

NYFW was insane. I can’t imagine the week without my new friends and NYFW roomies: Dede from DressUpButtercup, Emily from ChampagneandChanel, and Lauren from LC Steele.  Dede and I had met briefly in Austin at a SXSW event and since then, she’s been SO SWEET and really welcomed me into the blogging community with open arms.  I am so thankful for these talented girlies and it was really refreshing to be around girls who love clothes but share a desire to use their platform to love and encourage others. I think I would have felt very alone in the “big apple” without them.

The second place that we stayed during New York Fashion Week was a hotel called Dream Hotel. I will forever and always have A LOT of memories in our room and at the rooftop bar. It had STUNNING views of NYC.  It was here that we would take off our heels, reflect on the day, and unwind. After a couple of days, I felt like I really knew these girls – extraordinary circumstances like NYFW speed up the “let’s get to know each other” process. Trust me, it is not just fashion shows. It is constant movement, meetings, and meet ups with new faces at NYFW.

The Dream Hotel was a perfect blend of two different worlds. Some in our group would go there to extend the after-party. The hotel actually had bars and bowling alleys to keep those that have freakish energy to stay out until the morning hours after a full day. While I was not particularly able to keep up most nights, I was able to check out a beautiful rooftop called PHD Terrace. It overlooked the city and gives you that “Welcome to New York” moment (I love Taylor Swift).

You’re not who you think you are. How do we know? Because we’ve built our entire brand around you. Inside each Dream Hotel, you’ll appreciate upscale amenities, obsessive-meets-compulsive service, built-in nightlife that seems to come naturally, and rare raw energy drawn from some of the most stimulating cities in the world.
