Hey guys! Cassidy and I went to San Diego for an event with Southwest Airlines for their Rapid Rewards Card members. I partnered with them to treat my San Diego followers to attend the event with me! There was a private concert with Ben Rector. FANGIRLING. He was incredible in person. It was so fun to share the experience with my Southwest fam and the giveaway winners. There are so many perks with the Rapids Rewards card, check it out if you’re a jetsetter, too!!
I asked y’all on Instagram your favorite restaurants and places to see, and of course y’all came in to save the day (BLESS YOU ALL!!). Here are some of the recommendations I received– I wasn’t able to see everything but I will definitely be back to hit the places I missed. Hope this helps you enjoy the beautiful city of San Diego!
SAN DIEGO TRAVEL GUIDE
What To See:
SUNSET CLIFFS. We heard from some locals that Sunset Cliffs was a must for our short trip. God really out did himself here. I wish I had been able to see the sun set, supposedly it sets right on the horizon of the water. How prettyyyyyy.
OCEAN BEACH. Another recommendation by out Lyft driver. It was pretty cool with shops and restaurants, even a dog park!! (Bringing Lola and Hazel next time.)
BALBOA PARK. Not going to lie, I was pretty confused by this place. There was so much to do and see: museums, parks, restaurants, cultural centers. It was awesome. OH! And of course, the San Diego Zoo is there!!!! That’s definitely a must. Jordan wants to go so bad so I skipped it this trip so we could go together one day!
CORONADO ISLAND. So many people suggested to go here to see the Hotel Del Coronado– a beautiful hotel on the island, where you can catch beautiful sights of downtown San Diego on the water.
LITTLE ITALY. We came here right before heading to the airport for our flight and I wish I would have come here first so I could spend more time! It was such a cool area, with wine bars and restaurants!
Where To Eat:
COASTERRA. Cute little Mexican restaurant on the water. Great view of downtown, located closer to the airport! You have to order a skinny marg if you go, one of the best I’ve had!
LIBERTY PUBLIC MARKET.
QUEENSTOWN PUBLIC HOUSE.
MONELLO. I heard they spin their pasta in the giant parmesan block here #InstaFoodie.
NBD FANGIRLING. The Rapids Rewards event was at Brick near Liberty Public Market and it was BEAUTIFUL. Ben Rector is so amazing in person, I have been a fan of his for yearsssss. (Just another reason I love Southwest, they get me.) I have loved him for years and it was so cool being able to get a feel for his personality during the concert. What’s your favorite Ben Rector song!?
