I rarely write about fashion…”These earrings are purple….my jeans are stretchy….look at the shoes… and SNOOZE! I love fashion but for some reason it is so difficult for me to write an entire blog post about clothing! I think it’s because I want to provide you guys with content that actually makes you wake up the next day with a little more energy, confidence, and grit. I want to create blog posts and post pictures that help you realize how hot and SASSY you are! I will always post about outfits but I want my brand to be about YOU guys, that’s where my heart is at.

I’m curious if you guys have been keeping up with my blog content and what you like or do not like? I just don’t want to spend hours shooting, writing, editing, and posting the wrong type of content, if y’all don’t like it! Your feedback is EVERYTHING to me so please feel free to let me know in the comments. 🙂

So, here is my attempt at ‘fashion talk’ LOL….

Let’s talk sTaTeMeNt eArRiNgs. HONESTLY MAN… you never really realize how important having the right accessory is until you don’t have it!  Gimme all the pretty tassels and baubles, plz! I buy most of my affordable fun statement earrings from Kendra Scott and Baublebar  but my FAVORITES are actually from BP because they are SO affordable (most are less than $20!!) and are super trendy so I don’t feel bad when I get sick of the style. The nice thing about this blog is that I DO NOT post about earrings that are too heavy. Droopy holes in the earlobes? Thank you but I will pass, hehe.  Even this new pair of tassel earrings from Kendra Scott aren’t too heavy considering how large they are!  I am happy to provide outfits pic down below  to show you how these earrings transform different looks.

On a side note, this weekend was the Reward Style conference in Dallas. I was so excited to be invited for the first time but to be honest, ever since launching the Sassy Club in January of this year, I have not been as focused on affiliate sales but instead, more focused on creating value here on the blog. I will say, Jesus loved me through so many amazing blogger girls at the conference. I felt so loved and special and filled up after the weekend. I also learned a lot that I am excited to share with any prospective style bloggers out there real soon! Speaking of which, have you read my post about the websites I use to run my blog? 🙂 That could also help!

What brand of earrings are you loving right now? I just discovered this line and I’m obsessed. Comment your favorite below!

Dani

Noticed you have been making posts like the fashion ‘IT’ bloggers on IG….not a fan. I use to like your outfit posts when you were conservative and yourself. Now you are looking like all the other girls and it’s BORING! I wish you never found the revolve IG girls…now your feed looks scandalous and too tight for my taste. Everything you post now if from Revolve…girl go back to your old ways…it’s too expensive! You talk about being quirky and having a fun personality and you literally followed some influencers and taking all their feed…looks like you are trying to gain followers and be something you’re not. You even changed your layout of your blog to look like most of theirs! Get rid of joining your newsletter…it pops up everywhere and it’s annoying…you have to scroll through it to actually read anything. If you ever go back to your loving quirky fun ways and dress like it…maybe I’ll follow again, but till you find your own creative corner…girl BYE!

      Hey Andrea,

Dude, I am so sorry ya feel that way about me lately! Makes me sad! In all transparency, I’m growing up and I’m changing. My blog and brand will change with me. If you are ever in Dallas, I’d love to take ya to coffee. I think if you got to know me, you wouldn’t feel that way!

NO thanks for the coffee…took you a few days to respond…the way I see it is to only to hear and see comments to from these fake people who follow a blog account. a blog account where you talk about clothes and say dude and you talk about having a relationship with a fictional character. see you took my advice on your newsletter…your transparent and fake…following others. seriously. stop emailing me.

Oh honey, it’s funny that you’re telling someone to grow up while being unnecessarily rude. You can express your feelings and constructive criticism in a way that is not nasty and mean. I think you need to take a look at yourself and who you are as a person before insulting someone else. That being said, I hope you have a wonderful day, because apparently you need all of the well wishes you can get 🙂

Way to go Dani! It’s not easy to ignore when people are mean or rude to us. However, it is what Jesus calls us to do. You know, people hated on Jesus and He definitely didn’t have an easy life on earth, but despite all that, He still loved/loves us. Thankful that the spirit is moving in you to show kindness towards haters. He takes care of the rest! Continue to be the woman Christ has created you to be and to impact others like you are.

Remember, Satan tries to come to destroy and this is one of those ways. Don’t stop being the light that you are for Christ! ♥️

I can only imagine how hard it is already to put your life out there and I give you so much credit for it! You only show us a glimpse of your life and you positively impact more people than you know. I love your spunky personality and your tenacity for life. Keep up the great work girl!

      Hi Andrea,
I have to say I follow quiet a few fashion bloggers and Dani is as real as it gets. She gets on her stories every day and talks to her Instagram community like they are her friends. She has to change how her feed looks or the brands she works with or she won’t have a platform to be great on. I hope you find the right community to follow, because when you do you’ll love watching and reading.

I pray that my daughter will grow to have the heart for Christ, genuine sweetness, selflessness, and humility that Dani has.
Social media unfortunately does not give people the full picture of what a person is truly like but Dani is so much more than the clothes on her blog. She is just such a treasure.

      Hi Andrea,
I just wanted to let you know that you just spent five minutes venting on a statement earrings post…… maybe try a meditation class next time to help with some of that aggression? We all love Dani and we all grow and change styles- like i really hope i never again have the same straight across bangs i tried two years ago (i wasn’t as cool as Selena Gomez with them) but it’s super easy to unfollow someone without making a big stink out of it.. especially on…a statement earrings post…

This post may seem a little sassy but hey, I’m one sassy mama #teamDani

      Hi Andrea!
You see from Dani’s story/instagram posts/blogs that she is working hard to put out AWESOME content (like this post) for people that enjoy reading her blog! These comments aren’t supposed to be reviews for others to see but a place for Dani’s follower’s to interact, so I think you’re looking at “comments waiting for approval” the wrong way! I hope your day gets better and you become more optimistic, because although you think Dani may have changed, her faith and quirkiness still keeps me around, thanks!

Andrea – it breaks my heart that yours seems to be filled with hate. I hope you are able to find the source of that hate in your life and get rid of it. Treating others with kindness just makes you feel lighter inside. I’ve done it both ways and being kind definitely leaves me happier and more fulfiled af the end of the day. Wishing you the best in your journey toward choosing kindness over hate.

Andrea, it makes me so sad that there are people out there like you that seem tso thrive on bringing other people down. This is Dani’s job and to experience personal growth and to expand her brand she has to make changes to stay relevant. If you watch her insta stories you will see that she is one of of the most genuine and real people out there. Life is too short to be nasty to people, especially people that have not done anything to directly hurt you. There are so many bloggers out there, the right thing to do if you no longer like Dani’s content would be I quietly unfollow and find something that fits better with your personal style.

Dani, you are amazing, just brush off the negativity girl!

Andrea, I’m going to pray for you. First, you get on her for not being her normal, quirky self, and then you hate on her for saying dude, like heellooooo that is her quirky self. I honestly hate to even address you, because you’re just trolling looking for attention. But I wanted to let you know that I will pray for kindness to enter your heart, and for you to think before you speak.
Dani, please continue to stay yourself and grow how you see fit. This is YOUR blog and your business, do your blog the way you feel God is directing you. Love you!

I remember a time when people would keep their opinions to themselves. If you don’t like someone, don’t follow them and don’t read their blog. What good does it do to belittle someone over the internet? If you actually had to speak to Dani face to face would you have the nerve to say those things anyway? I think it’s coward-ish.

What you’re doing with your blog is inspiring and you are certainly not “like everyone else.” You are truly the only blogger that I listen to every insta story and every post. And it’s not just because of the outfits. Of course your outfits are adorable but so are a lot of bloggers. What sets you apart is your faith and kind heart. Evidence 2: You literally CRIED on your stories about Lola. That is vulnerable. Your blog, instagram, Sassy club and everything you do are important. Please don’t forget that we follow you because we love who you are and what you show us!! I feel like you are my friend and I’ve never even met you. The Sassy Club is an awesome creation and I think most of your followers recognize that. You are an awesome, sassy lady that encourages other awesome, sassy ladies and THAT is what we should be doing. Be encouraged and feel loved because you are!! Thanks for taking the time to write this blog post for us! I love these earrings and want literally every single one. YOURE THE BEST. <3 <3

Let me start off by saying, you are THE sassy mama! I love the transparency and spunk in your IG stories. It’s hard for IG feeds to not look similar when certain styles and looks are trending. But you always find a way to make the real you shine through whether its through your captions or funny IG stories. You work hard and it shows! We aren’t all the same person everyday. We like to change stuff up and all that matters is that we are dressing in stuff that makes us feel good! If that’s what another blogger was wearing then it is and who cares! Somedays I wake up feeling saucy and sassy and other days I wake up flirty and sweet so my outfit reflects those moods! No two days are alike and just because you are an influencer doesn’t mean you cant change it up and grow. YOU. ARE. HUMAN.
Your style is amazing! And in all honesty I can’t truly afford most of the looks but I follow you and your journey for SO much more than your closet girlfriend! I follow you to be a part of the uplifting community youve created and all of your silly stories, late night thoughts, and honesty you pour into your page! You are not like the rest! And it’s so refreshing! Thanks for being you and positive even when it’s so so hard to be. Most importantly, you do you girl! Because “No one truly interesting was ever universally liked” <3

Dani, you are an amazing, sweet, unique person. People find it much easier to say hurtful things over a computer screen than they do in a face-to-face conversation. For every one person who hates on you and tries to hurt you, there are thousands who look up to you and believe you have true and deep value. Regardless of what anyone else says, you are my favorite blogger/IG/Youtuber (when I flip through IG, the first Story I open is yours). And just to give you some encouragement and love to help cover the wounds you sometimes endure on these platforms, I want to share something with you. Two weeks ago, I was at the Bridgetown Church Women’s Retreat and we had a few ice breaker questions to help us get to know each other. One of the questions was: “If you could meet any living person and sit down and have a coffee with them, who would it be?” My answer was YOU. 🙂 All the love and encouragement to you! <3

P.S. Even though I’ve been following you for a number of years, I didn’t know you had a newsletter until recently. I can’t wait to get my first one!

Like Lisa said, I would like to take YOU out to coffee if you’re every in North Carolina! Love your blog and your Insta! I love that you talk about your relationship with God. It has to be hard at times to be so transparent, but I LOVE it!
