Home Office Organization
Hey y’all—it’s Dani here, gettin’ all feng shui again. By now you’ve figured out that I’m just a bit Type-A and have a major knack for all things organization (#canthelpit, #sorrynotsorry). Eeek! I just love when things are in order and neat. Plus, it makes a space look so much more inviting!
Jordan and I have tackled our bathroom, closet, and kitchen. But this time, it was the office storage area, which also doubles as Jordan’s “man cave” (Yes, poor guys has to share his masculine space with scissors and paper clips). Thankfully, we were able to team up with the Neat Method and The Container Store again to really make this area of our home functional yet aesthetically pleasing.
Let’s get started!

STORAGE BINS.
One of my biggest tips for an office area is storage bins, storage bins, and more storage bins! Bins that have divided compartments are super helpful for small items like rubber bands, thumb tacks, paper clips, etc. When each item has it’s own place, you won’t have to search for what you’re looking for, and you can easily tell when you’re running low on something.
I love using clear storage containers so you can see into the bin easily, instead of digging around to the bottom. Plus, clear is fresh and neutral that goes with whatever your personal décor is in the room.
If you have open shelves, make the most of your organization by using coordinating storage tubs or bins, rather than mismatched. This will create a cohesive look. If, however, you have the option of “hiding” some of your supplies, it can make the space seem less “office-y” and more comfortable for lounging.
BOOK ORGANIZATION.
You may not think that a cabinet way up high is very practical, but why not store things there that you don’t use often? Having a small step stool handy is an easy way to reach these items when needed. For us, these cabinets hold books that have been color coordinated into a beautiful rainbow pattern (duh, how else would you ever organize books??). It’s not only pretty, but totally functional!

LABEL EVERYTHING.
Other tips I have for organizing an office area are to maximize your space and label EVERYTHING!
Lastly, use chalkboard labels for each of your storage bins so you know exactly where something goes. These are super easy to use and can be found at virtually any office supply store. Finish your space off with a white board for leaving reminders or messages to yourself or your hubby.
We’re thrilled with the outcome of this space and it’s been another enjoyably breezy experience working with the Neat Method and The Container Store for expert tips. So the next time you’re looking for a weekend project, give a room in your house a makeover it (and you!) deserve!
