Can y’all believe how quickly this wedding is approaching!? Jordan and I are working on all the finishing touches that will be the start of our new life together. Let me be honest for a sec…as excited as I am for our big day, I am even more pumped for the honeymoon! This gurl needs a VACAY—stat! Holy wedding planning…it’s stressful and exhausting, and I’m soooo looking forward to a little R&R when Jordan and I take off for our getaway.
Speaking of which, guess where we’re going?! TURKS AND CAICOS! Ahh! It’s going to amazing. I can’t wait! But hold up—a gal can’t just leave on a jet plane without the proper wardrobe tagging along, which is why I’m compiling my ultimate honeymoon checklist to make sure I have all the essentials I need for fun in the sun.

As much as I’d like to tote along 7 suitcases full of clothes and accessories, I’ve been told that’s neither practical nor affordable (LOL). So I was thrilled to team up with Cabana Life to choose the best pieces for my honeymoon. Cabana Life is a resort wear brand that mixes fashion with function—I’m obsessed with their trendy prints, as well as their built-in SPF clothing (because skin cancer is NOT cool–haven’t you noticed I’m all about taking care of my skin and staying young 4ever??).
I’m planning to pack a combo of light, breezy dresses, as well as shorts and cute tees. Cabana Life has the CUTEST styles in bright, fresh colors and patterns—so perfect for vacations and summertime.
What about bathing suits? Y’all know how important it is to find THE best suit for your body and style. I can’t wait to wear the halter bikini I got from Cabana Life. It’s sooooo pretty (plus a little sexayyy…hello, it’s my HONEYMOON after all!). The aqua and orange colors are just right for a tropical paradise. Can’t ya just see me with a margarita in hand??
Other must-haves for my honeymoon suitcase: my fav sunnies, sandals that go from day to night, and a sleep mask for those early sunrises when I’m still catching up on my zzzzz’s. For the details, it’s all about one word: Straw. Gimme all da straw accessories! Seriously guys, there’s nothing sweeter than a floppy straw hat, and a straw bag. They SCREAM resort-chic!
So, enough about the honeymoon— Another thing that Jordan and I have been finalizing are the finishing touches of our home décor. This will be the first time a MAN has lived with me (eek!!), so we had to make sure that the space felt comfortable for both of us.
I’ve shared glimpses into my closet, bedroom, and other decorating, but there were still other things to do to make sure all our home needs were covered. Jordan and I visited Wisteria at Inwood Village, and worked with their team to make our home the place that we DREAMED about. What I love most about Wisteria is that they believe a home should tell a story and that the furniture should represent personal style.
We were able to find the perfect pieces that match our modern meets whimsical taste. Everything is chic yet comfortable, timeless yet trendy (Jordan and I are the perfect fit…awwwww). Shopping at Wisteria was such a fun and easy process, and their selection is top-notch.
