Anybody else been feeling a little cooped up? Jordan and I have been itching to get out of the house, so we made a road trip plan. We picked a destination. We booked a beach house. We rented a luxury SUV (*cough* – okay – so Jordan’s version of a luxury SUV is a minivan we’ve named Bertha 🙄 🤣) and we got ready to hit the road!
When it comes to road trips, I am the packing QUEEN. I’ve never been good at packing light, so I have to admit – Bertha came in pretty dang handy! I packed that mini van with tons of clothes, treats, and basically our whole pantry LOL, and obviously, I had to get some fun Amazon products to try on the way.
Car Sauce Holder Dip Clip // Car Cup Holder Expander // Eating Steering Wheel Desk // Memory Foam Travel Pillow // Where The Crawdads Sing // Road Trip Travel Games // Get Out Of Your Head // Electronic Accessory Travel Organizer // Straw Roll Up Sun Visor
I mean. How brilliant is this?! As a loyal Chic-Fil-A family, we are always dipping on the go. This clips onto your AC vent so you can dip and eat safely as you drive! Jordan drove a lot for this trip, and he was loving it.
We use so many tumblrs and a lot of the time, they don’t fit in normal car cup holders, so this was a little lifesaver. Instead of the awkward tumblr between your knees situation or it sloshing around in the door pocket, this let us forget it was ever an issue.
Now this one was one of Jordan’s personal faves. It’s so convenient for eating on the go! We have used this so much throughout the trip, and it’s also easy to store in the back pocket of your seat.
I. love. this. pillow. The best part about this travel pillow is that it’s bendy, so you can twist it however you want. It’s also memory foam which is SUCH an upgrade to the little microbead-filled pillows I’ve used before.
You guys recommended this to me and y’all were right – it’s so good. I’m not gonna give any spoilers, but you’re gonna want to check it out. (Also, if my recommendation isn’t enough, it is REESE WITHERSPOON approved… so.)
We are getting old fashioned with it! These games were a fun way to pass the time and helped get me off my phone. The really sweet thing about road trips is having all that time with your loved one(s), so instead of just zoning out it’s a great time to play a game and be silly together.
I had heard SO much about this book so I wanted to check it out. It’s all about controlling your thoughts and thought patterns. I think it’s especially relevant in 2020, when it’s SO easy to let negative thoughts take over. Highly enjoying so far!
You know when your backpack is in the trunk and you have to keep pulling over to get something you forgot about? Or when you SWEAR your charger is in your tote bag but you have to dig around forever to find it? Problem solveddd. This little case was so handy for having our chargers close by and organized. I think I’m going to use this a ton, not just on road trips.
Who said driving for 14 hours can’t be cute? 😜 I love this lil visor! It was perfect for the drive and perfect for the beach – a total win, and the quality is really good.
This set is so good!!! I’ve been looking into some more affordable luggage sets to share with y’all because luggage gets EXPENSIVE. This entire 4 piece set is $124.99! They’re really great sizes and I love the pink.
How cute are these sunnies?! They’re so chic and make me feel fancy, but the best part is they’re $15. I’m always losing my sunglasses, so I am loving this travel organizer. I can’t wait to use this on blogger trips in the future when I wanna bring 5 pairs of different glasses.
When I say I packed our whole pantry… I meant it! Jordan and I used these reusable bags to take our snacks to the beach everyday. I feel like having bags like these incentivizes me to pack healthier snacks that aren’t prepackaged, like fruits and veggies. Plus, they’re reusable, so more sustainable!
The Couple Next Door // Where The Crawdads Sing // The Woman in the Window: A Novel // The Woman in Cabin 10 // Get Out Of Your Head // The Silent Patient // The Guest List // Little Fires Everywhere
These books were all suggested by YOU guys! I asked for new book recommendations on my stories and y’all delivered. Specifically, I love a thriller/mystery, so that’s what most of these are. I haven’t read all of them yet, but I can for sure confirm that Where The Crawdads Sing, The Silent Patient, and Little Fires Everywhere are SO. GOOD.
We had the best mini-vacay and honestly, the drive made it even better. If you’re looking for more Amazon recommendations, girl I gotchu! You can shop My Amazon Storefront to see everything in one place. Are you hitting the road soon? Let me know what your road trip must haves are!
